Product Description
Acacia Gum is a gelatinous secretion produced from the branches of the Arabic tree or the acacia tree close to it andnaturally solidified in the air. It is light white to light yellowish brown translucent block with a molecular weight of 220, 000-300, 000. It is odorless, tasteless and flammable. It can gradually dissolve into an acidic viscous liquid in water. After some time, the viscosity decreases, the solubility is about 50%(WN),and it is insoluble in ethanol. It is the oldestand most well-known natural gum in the world. As for its earliest application, it must be traced back to ancient Egypt 5, 000 years ago. As time goes by, its use is more extensive, especially in the application of food additives.
Acacia Gum is a safe and harmless food additive with no maximum addition limit. It is known as desert gold in Europe It iswidely used in beverages, baking, dairy products, health foods and other fields It has the functions of stabilization, emulsification, and increasing dietary fiber content.
